Our lovable capybara lookalike Nyko Helsel aka Okyn needs his village to come together and provide him some help. On the morning of December 15, Nyko's car hit a patch of black ice while driving to go snowboarding in the mountains of Southern Vermont. The car lost control and went down an embankment, crashing into multiple trees before coming to a stop, Nyko and his passenger suspended in the car above the Deerfield River. Luckily, Nyko and his passenger were able to escape the car, but not unscathed. Nyko was transported to the hospital, suffering injuries to his back, shoulder, and head. However he is lucky that his injuries weren't worse and his passenger was unharmed.

Unfortunately, the Nyko's 2002 Subaru was not so lucky. After being pulled from the embankment, his car was deemed a total loss. Now, Nyko is entirely without transport to work or necessities in a very rural area with minimal public transport. He needs your help to raise funds so he can pay his impending medical bills, move to an apartment along the bus line in Southern VT, and eventually save up to buy another car. Anything helps to get Nyko continuing on the track he wants and needs- the track to bettering himself and putting his life back together.
