Hi Everyone!

We are current students at New York Institute of Technology’s School of Health Professions and The School of Osteopathic Medicine. This summer we will be participating in the Medical Outreach Program. Our group is made up of students from the Nursing, Physician’s Assistant, Physical Therapy, Nutrition, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, and Health and Wellness programs. We will be traveling to Athens, Greece from July 17 - 27 2025 to provide medical care and STEAMM programs to displaced refugees.

The refugees are men, women, children and unaccompanied minors who have fled to Greece from their homes in numerous countries such as Africa (including the Congo) as well as from Syria, Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq. Throughout our time there, we will be working with multiple organizations such as Love without Borders: For Refugees in Need, SAMS, Help Your Neighbor Organization, and The STEAMM Initiative: For Refugees in Need to connect and make a difference in their lives. Our goal is to provide them with medical care and supplies as well as funds for basic necessities. We will be participating in hands-on therapies including art therapy, educational workshops, and first aid care, as well as offering physical and emotional support.

We will be attending training sessions to broaden our clinical skills and will be bringing the necessary supplies with us. We need your help to provide the best care possible to this underserved population. By donating, you will be playing a vital role in improving their health and quality of life.
