Hi everyone!

As many of you know, there are tens of thousands of houseless people living in New York, and a huge number are children. More specifically, as of May 2021, there were a total of 51,882 houseless people living in shelters in New York City and 15,930 of that number were houseless children also living in shelters.

Since school is starting up, I am hoping to raise money to buy school supplies for houseless children such as backpacks, notebooks, writing utensils, and anything else necessary. 100% of the money raised will be spent on school supplies, which we’ll give to the Coalition for the Homeless to distribute to children living in shelters.

My goal is to raise $2000, which will be enough money to provide backpacks fully stocked with supplies for about 200 houseless students. I’ll be accepting donations from August 1st – August 20th.
