Nova is a bright, beautiful bubbly little girl. She had the world at her feet but her family’s world came to a halt when on the 26th September 2021 she suffered her first ever seizure. She was rushed to hospital but no one could figure out why, since then she has had seizure after seizure, night or day, test after test, appointment after appointment and still no further forward. Over 30 seizures and no doctor can tell why. They can only say that “this is the worst case he’s seen in such a young child”. There’s no triggers, there’s no reason, they can come at any point and last for days in and out. The NHS is a wonderful thing for us to have but unfortunately she needs extra scans and new doctors who can help get her a diagnosis so her family can resume their lives, so Nova can go to school in the future without fear of a seizure, without fear of effects from oxygen deprivation.
