My name is Nour Abdel Al, and I am from Gaza City – Palestine. I am 22 years old.

Before the war, I was living a simple life with my husband. We didn't have much, but we had the most important things in life: a home that brought us together, safety, and a family full of love. We were overjoyed because I was pregnant with our first child—a daughter we already loved with all our hearts.

But the war turned our lives upside down.

Our home was completely destroyed, and we were forced to flee multiple times searching for a safe place. We were also bombed and miraculously survived, but our lives have never been the same.

Today, my husband and I live in a tent after losing our home and our source of income. Life in the tents is extremely harsh, with food shortages, lack of clean water, and the difficult conditions we face every day.

Because we have no access to clean water, I was forced to drink contaminated water. As a result, I contracted viral hepatitis. And tragically, due to this illness and the horrific conditions, I lost my daughter—my first and only child—while she was still in my womb at seven months.

I never got to hold her. I never got to see her face. She was taken from me before she could take her first breath.

Despite all this pain, I am still trying to hold onto hope.

I am currently in my third year at university and I am continuing my studies, because I believe that education is the only path that can help me rebuild my life and my future.

We are not asking for the impossible…

We are only asking for a chance to stand on our feet again and live with dignity.

اسمي نور عبد العال، وأنا من مدينة غزة – فلسطين ، عمري ٢٢ .

قبل الحرب كنت أعيش حياة بسيطة مع زوجي. لم نكن نملك الكثير، لكن كان لدينا أهم ما في الحياة: منزل يجمعنا، وأمان، وعائلة مليئة بالحب.

لكن الحرب قلبت حياتنا رأسًا على عقب.

تم تدمير منزلنا بالكامل، واضطررنا إلى النزوح أكثر من مرة بحثًا عن مكان آمن. خلال هذه الأحداث القاسية فقدت ابنتي الغالية في الحرب، وهي خسارة لا يمكن لأي كلمات أن تصف ألمها.

تعرضنا أيضًا للقصف ونجونا بأعجوبة، لكن حياتنا لم تعد كما كانت.

اليوم أعيش أنا وزوجي في خيمة بعد أن فقدنا منزلنا ومصدر دخلنا. الحياة في الخيام قاسية جدًا، مع نقص الطعام وقلة المياه النظيفة والظروف الصعبة التي نعيشها كل يوم.

وبسبب استهلاك المياه الملوثة في هذه الظروف، أصبت بـ التهاب الكبد الوبائي، مما جعل وضعي الصحي أكثر صعوبة، و أدى الى أن فقدت ابنتي—طفلتي الأولى والوحيدة—وكانت لا تزال في رحمي في الشهر السابع.

ورغم كل هذا الألم، ما زلت أحاول التمسك بالأمل.

أنا حاليًا في سنتي الثالثة في الجامعة وما زلت مستمرة في دراستي، لأنني أؤمن أن التعليم هو الطريق الذي يمكن أن يساعدني على إعادة بناء حياتي ومستقبلي.

نحن لا نطلب المستحيل…

نطلب فقط فرصة لنقف على أقدامنا من جديد ونعيش بكرامة.
