Help North Pole High School Raise $10K for Senior Citizens
Donation protected
North Pole High School's student body is having their annual "change for change" drive (in conjunction with our PTSA) where we encourage our students to donate their change to a worthy organization to create a positive change in their community.
This year, we are going BIG! We are attempting to raise $10,000 for our local Meals on Wheels organization (in Fairbanks, Alaska) that delivers hot meals to senior citizens. Last year Fairbanks' Meals on Wheels served 405 individuals, bringing them a total of 76,927 hot meals.
North Pole High School students have always had a special place in their hearts for senior citizens and elders. They are instinctively respectful and protective, patient and kind when dealing with senior citizens and elders. This project is the perfect one for our students. They love their elders, and Meals on Wheels is an organization that does right by them, delivering a hot meal and some company. We love what they do! And we want to help!
To spice things up and get our student body talking, we have had three staff members agree to get shaved down to a bald head if they tally the most donations. So, when you donate, if you'd like to be part of that tomfoolery, you can name your funds as going toward the tally for Wade Jones, Elizabeth Alexander or Matt Heaney.

The way you add a comment is that after you donate, you get an email receipt. In that email receipt is the option to add comments. We thank our three brave souls for being willing to put their hair on the line to get our kids talking. We will end our fundraiser on May 9th. Whichever staff member has the most at that point is the "winner."
You could also donate because it's an awesome organization, because you've been blessed by a senior citizen in your lifetime, or because you want to help us show our students how awesome it feels when Love wins. Know that Senior Citizens in the interior of Alaska will receive hot meals because of your donation.
Thank you for considering donating to our Change for Change drive. Please share our story and our efforts on whatever social media platform you enjoy. We appreciate it.
Sincerely,
