Help Norm Colteaux get the care he needs!

Norm Colteaux has lived and worked his whole life in San Anselmo. He worked for the San Anselmo post office

for 35 years as one of the most popular mail carriers. With his quick wit and hard-working attitude, he was loved by many. He and his wife Sharie raised three children on blue-collar wages in Marin County, where they were both born and raised. When he retired from the post office, Norm still felt like he had more to offer and went to work for the Marin County Parks service for another 18 years! No surprise that he was also respected and appreciated for his hard work there. Unfortunately, after retiring from the park service, he was soon diagnosed with orthostatic hypotension, a very long word for a low-pressure condition that slowly deteriorated his quality of life. A few months ago, he also suffered two strokes which then caused him to have a second diagnosis of vascular dementia. He was hospitalized and assessed and confirmed that he would need long-term care. He has been residing at Smith Ranch care facility for the past three months. His wife of 58 years Sharie Colteaux, cannot pay her bills and Norm's share of cost deemed by medi-cal. We had many hopes that medi-cal would apply a cost to norms care that our family could afford. Sadly, because of there outdated financial guidelines, they did not provide Norm and Sharie with an affordable solution. If you could help out a long term local hard-working, good-hearted family, we would all be extremely grateful. We have explored many other financial options, all to no avail, so this is our last shot to keep Norm safe and Sharie in her home.
