Help Niranjan in supporting his favorite charities
Friends, my birthday came around and I find myself with so much care and love from friends and family. To make it more worthwhile, I made a plan to celebrate my day by supporting my favorite charities. Will you join me?
These are my hand-picked charities which have done tremendous work and they can do more with our support. While my goal may sound too small or big but these charities need our support any way we can.
1) Peace4Dalits Foundation: is a grassroot charity. Their activities involve education of Dalit children, rights advocacy and empowerment of the community. The organization sprung with private tutoring for children who may not otherwise complete their education as they may fall through the cracks of sub-standard public sector schools. Our support will ensure that they continue run these tutoring for these young learners and perhaps expand the programs to other part of the country. Learn more https://www.facebook.com/peace4dalits

2) Dignity Initiative is a Kathmandu-based not-for-profit which works on knowledge production on the issues of social exclusion and human rights with a special focus on Dalit. Dignity Initiative is committed to amplify Dalit voices and work to hold the state accountable to ensure the implementation of constitutionally guaranteed Dalit rights. To this end, Dignity Initiative collaborates with the national and international organizations, universities, intellectuals, researchers, academics, analysts, and activists. A great leader, Rup Sunar, leading this organization with his incredible staff and very accomplished community leaders on their Board. https://dignityinitiatives.org/about-us/our-approach/
3) Sandigan Kuwait (a domestic workers organization operating in Middle-East. The Sandigan Kuwait Domestic Workers Association (SKDWA) is a brainchild and a product of the advocacy of the Sandigan Kuwait. It was established to empower the domestic workers sector. The aim is to strengthen the sector so that it will serve as a voice of the unheard, the fist of the weak, the leg of the oppressed, the heart of the needy and the epitome of courage and intelligence. That inspires domestic workers to educate themselves and equip (themselves) with knowledge and skills through the SKDWA programs that focuses on what will benefit the domestic workers sector in general. Enhancement training and livelihood education programs helps the Association to move further visualizing a sustainable future. Sandigan Kuwait Domestic Workers Association is currently taking an office at Consumers Cooperative Society named Integrated Community Centre, under the appease Kuwait Human Right Society, Hawally, State of Kuwait. Ann Abunda, herself a domestic worker, has been the leader and champion of worker's rights. We can lend our support to help the organization to empower more of these workers, who are often exploited and lack legal or state's protection.
