Help Nike FIGHT Breast Cancer

Hi, my name is Amy Healy, and I'm raising money for my cousin Nike Grieves Tyson. Nike is married to Thomas Tyson and they have five beautiful children together in Mississippi. The unimaginable happened when she was diagnosed with a very aggressive and rare form of breast cancer shortly after her fifth child was born, in August of 2022. Nike was diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive Micropapillary Carcinoma and it has spread to many lymph nodes. There were multiple tumors, the largest the size of a softball, and it was in multiple lymph nodes around her collar bone and armpit. Because of the complexity of her cancer and complications she has encountered along the way, she receives her treatment at MD Anderson in Houston, TX. There has been lots of commuting back and forth for consultations, diagnosis, surgeries and treatment.

After her first rounds of chemo, a mastectomy, lymphadenectomy, and a lymphovenous bypass on March 7 and multiple rounds of radiation, it was determined treatment was far from over. Due to additional cancerous cell concerns and complications from a serious infection, she's since also had to have two additional surgeries. Because of these surgeries, what would have been her 6.5 weeks of radation has now been stretched out to OVER four months! All of this treatment needs to be done in Houston, TX from Monday-Friday each treatment week. The amount of time and financial strain this places on Nike is DAUNTING.

This is where I know we can rally as Nike's beloved friends, family and community. Her and her family could use ALL of the prayers and well wishes we could muster up. Please consider donating to help with medical and travel expenses. I will send updates along the way from Nike and her family.

Nike is the most loving mother and commited wife, she adores her children and her extended family and all of her friends. As you can imagine, it is truly going to take a village to help her and her family through this difficult time, but she has remained nothing but positive and optimistic.
