Hello everyone, my name is Christopher Loughlin and I am sincerely trying to help my wife Nicole raise the money needed to have her teeth fixed. My wife has had so many problems with her teeth over the years. Dentists have told her it is due to a genetic thing. Her teeth just started to fall apart, not out, but piece by piece. We were convinced she should have all the broken teeth removed and start the process towards dentures and eventually permanent implants.
With the advice we received, the grueling process began about 8 years ago. Anyone who has dentures knows they are not the most comfortable and you don't really feel like yourself. Nicole has endured the dentures to the point where she has nothing but sores in her mouth; it is incredibly hard for her to eat what she would like. Lots of noodles, rice, yogurt, etc., soft food. My wife Nicole had a beautiful smile and confidence. I have watched this disappear over the years. Due to her jaw bone depleting, she has had many adjustments and setbacks.
Nicole is a CMA (Certified Nursing Assistant). With that said, she is face to face with people every day, trying to make them feel better and help in any way she can. She loves what she does. The fact is this: not being able to smile and always on guard if someone will see her teeth are wobbling around in her mouth or her voice sounding different than what it truly sounds like may not seem like a big deal, but it is. She works very hard, as so many others do. She is the only source of income for our family.
We have an adult son named Hugh who is on the autism spectrum, and he lives at home with us and needs 24-hour care, and that would be me. We do our best day by day, just like everyone else does. This with Nicole's jaw is progressing, and there is a time limit, I guess, before dentists can do what they would like to do. We have a very strong faith in the Lord. We pray about everything. I suggested to Nicole maybe we can try GoFundMe. I told Nicole you may have to be vulnerable and show pictures of your teeth. With thought and prayer, Nicole came to me and said go ahead, it's OK, we need help.
With all this said, we thank everybody for donations of any amount and prayer.
Sincerely, Chris and Nicky
