Hi everyone,
My name is Nicole, and I created this fundraiser for my beautiful 4-year-old daughter, Charlotte, and myself.
For the past 33 months, I have been working through a difficult custody process while doing everything I can to be a consistent and stable parent in her life. Charlotte is my greatest joy, and my deepest hope is to continue building a secure and healthy mother-daughter bond with her.
For 29 months I represented myself in court because I could not afford an attorney. During that time, I did everything in my power to stay actively involved in Charlotte’s life and pursue more meaningful, consistent time with her.
In November 2025, I was finally able to hire legal counsel who helped me make real progress through a step-up custody plan. I went from 6-hour weekly visits to weeknight dinners and overnights every other weekend. Seeing the difference that strong legal representation has made has given me so much hope.
So far, I have paid $13,326 of my own hard-earned money toward attorney fees. I have done everything I can to keep going, but I have now reached a point where I cannot continue without help.
Right now, I owe approximately $10,400 to my legal team. Their services have been temporarily suspended until the current balance and a new retainer are paid in full.
On June 17th we have an important court hearing that could help shape the long-term custody schedule. Having my attorney by my side is incredibly important, not only for me, but for Charlotte’s stability and future.
I am hoping to raise $20,000. All funds raised will be used only for attorney fees and court-related legal expenses.
The money will go directly toward:
- Paying the current legal balance so my attorney can return to my case
- Funding the new retainer for the June 15 hearing and immediate next steps
- Helping ensure I have proper legal representation moving forward as we work toward a fair and stable custody schedule
