Help Nicky get a new travel wheelchair

I started this go fund me for a longtime family friend named Nicky Lashua. Nicky was born with Cerebral Palsy and has always used a wheelchair for transportation. Growing up, Nicky and his wife Connie would come over for every holiday, birthday, or just to hangout at our house for a backyard Bbq during the summer. These two would always give my siblings and I the most gifts at Christmas and always knew how to make us feel that we were deeply loved. The longer I’ve known them the more I call them family. Unfortunately, around this time last year Nicky lost his wife and our precious friend, Connie, due to ALS. This past year has been especially tough for Nicky, as he’s been adjusting to life without his best friend, companion, and sidekick that’s helped him all these years. As Nicky has been trying to get his life back in order and has become more independent, he’s expressed a need for another motorized wheelchair that he can use for traveling purposes, short distances, visits with friends, and special occasions. His current wheelchair is good for everyday errands and traveling far distances, although it cannot fit in a car, airplane, it’s very heavy, and we’re unable to use it while visiting at our house because it won’t fit through the door or in the car. His insurance does not cover him getting another smaller motorized wheelchair so we decided to put together a go fund me to help him get a new wheelchair this Christmas.
