As of August 29, 2026, Nepal is facing one of the most devastating disasters in recent memory. Communities have been affected by severe flooding, leaving families in urgent need of support as they begin the difficult process of recovery and rebuilding.

100% of the funds raised through this campaign will be donated directly to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund of Nepal.

Transparency and accountability are extremely important to us. Once the funds are transferred, proof of the donation and official receipts will be uploaded to this GoFundMe page, allowing every donor to see exactly where the money has gone.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, can help support Nepal’s disaster-relief and recovery efforts. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your family, friends, and community.

Story:

On Wednesday morning, August 26, a massive glacial collapse near the Nepal-Tibet border unleashed a tsunami-like wall of water, ice, mud, and debris. It roared down the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli river valleys, swallowing entire villages in minutes. Homes that had stood for generations vanished. Bridges snapped like twigs. Roads were erased. Families who were eating breakfast or preparing for the day were suddenly fighting for their lives against a force of nature that gave them no time to run.

By today, the death toll in Nepal has climbed past 620, with reports reaching as high as 675. More than 2,400 people remain missing — including hundreds of local residents, hydropower workers trapped in tunnels filled with thick mud, and foreign tourists who came to experience the beauty of the Himalayas. Nearly 93,000 people have been affected. Thousands of homes are gone. Survivors stand in the ruins of what used to be their lives, clutching the few belongings they could salvage, searching lists of the missing for the faces of their children, parents, brothers, and sisters.

Imagine a mother who has waited three days with no word of her son. Imagine children who watched the water take their home and everything they knew. Imagine families sleeping in the open or in overcrowded shelters, cold, hungry, and terrified that another flood could come. The trauma is enormous. Food is scarce. Clean water is hard to find. Medical care is stretched thin. Many have lost not only their loved ones but every means of rebuilding.

This is not just a news story. These are real people whose world ended in a single terrifying morning.

We are raising funds to provide immediate, life-saving support to the flood victims in the hardest-hit districts — food, clean water, emergency shelter, medical supplies, warm clothing, and the basic tools they need to start recovering. Every dollar will go toward helping families who have lost everything begin to stand again.

Please give what you can. Share this campaign. Your kindness can bring a meal to a hungry child, a roof over a grieving family, or a small measure of hope to someone who has lost all hope.

Nepal’s mountains have always been a source of strength and beauty. Right now, the people who live in their shadow need ours.

Thank you for standing with them.
