Help Nelson Rebuild After Beating Leukemia

Two years ago our beloved Nelson Garcia was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of leukemia- a diagnosis that turned his world and his family’s world upside down.

We are so proud of Nelson, he fought with everything he had. After enduring intense chemotherapy and radiation, surviving a near-fatal blood transfusion, and spending weeks in a coma. Nelson did the unimaginable- he came back. Against all odds, he’s now in remission as of December.

But while his body is healing, the emotional and financial scars of this battle are still raw.

The family is navigating not just financial instability, but the deep emotional trauma that comes with nearly losing a husband, a father, a brother, a friend.

Right now, Nelson is in a dark and difficult place. He’s been honest with us about the heaviness in his mind—how hard it is to face this new chapter, how difficult it is to ask for help, how impossible it feels to move forward. He’s not just healing physically; he’s trying to heal emotionally and spiritually, too.

We’re creating this fundraiser not only to support Nelson and his family financially, but to remind him that he is not a burden. He is a miracle. And miracles deserve support, love, and the chance to rebuild.
