Help Nelly & Guillermo Reunite Their Family in the U.S.
Dear Friends,
I’m reaching out with an urgent and heartfelt plea to help my dear friends, Nelly and Guillermo Casado, bring their children to the United States. Their story is one of resilience, love, and an unwavering dream to reunite as a family.
Nelly and Guillermo's children are currently in the Dominican Republic, waiting for their chance to legally join their parents here in the U.S. After navigating a lengthy and challenging immigration process, they are finally at the final stage. But time is running out. They have just three months to cover immigration fees, airfare, and other costs to bring their children home.
Tragically, Guillermo recently lost his job, making it nearly impossible to gather the $8,000 needed to seize this window of opportunity. If they miss it, the process could be delayed by years, leaving their family separated indefinitely.
Guillermo is one of the hardest workers I know. He’s an excellent painter and handyman who has helped me fix and flip several houses over the years. His dedication, skill, and work ethic are unmatched, and I can personally vouch for his character and determination. If anyone has handyman jobs or house projects that need attention, Guillermo is ready and willing to work to earn what he can. Hit me up and I can coordinate him coming to help you.
This holiday season, I’m hoping we can come together to raise the funds and gift Nelly and Guillermo the most meaningful Christmas present possible—the chance to reunite with their children. Your contribution, no matter the size, will directly fund:
Immigration fees required to finalize their children’s visas
Flights to reunite the family
Associated costs to ensure a smooth and legal transition
This is more than bringing children to a new country—it’s about reuniting a family, giving these kids a stable, loving home, and providing them with a future full of opportunities.
Nelly and Guillermo have always put their family first and never imagined being in this position. They’re determined to overcome this challenge, but they need the help of our community to make it possible.
Please, consider donating to their campaign and sharing their story. Every little bit helps. If you know someone who could use Guillermo’s skills as a painter or handyman, please reach out! Together, we can make this Christmas one they’ll never forget by bringing their family back together.
With gratitude and hope,
Jon and Misty Shields
