Help Neil & Dani Grow Their Family

We are fundraising to help us afford to grow our family via IVF & donor eggs. We started our IVF journey by finding out that Dani's AMH (egg reserve) is abnormally low for her age and our chance of a successful pregnancy went down to around 30% from 65%. They figure this is probably because of a medical condition that Dani has which can cause infertility. We tried IVF and Dani's body didn't respond to the meds like a woman who has a normal AMH would. So because of this, she didn't have as many follicles mature to create mature eggs. We then headed into our egg retrieval (egg day) being told our doctor anticipated retrieving 0-3 eggs, which then dropped our chances of successful pregnancy down to 10%. Then our doctor told us she was unable to retrieve any eggs. IUI (interuterine insemination) wasn't successful either. Our doctor has told us on many occasions she believes the only way we will have a successful pregnancy is by using donor eggs.

To say this journey has been a rollercoaster is an understatement. We started this journey very excited and hopeful. Telling our parents and closest friends what was going on and anticipating celebrating Mother's Day & Father's Day next year with a child of our own. When all the bad news started rolling in so did our tears and our hopefulness turned into doubt. No one goes into IVF thinking it isn't going to work or that they won't be able to have children of their own.

The cost of using donor eggs is incredibly expensive, up to $40k for ONE CYCLE, which insurance won't cover at all. And there is still no guarantee that it will work. But hopefully with your sweet donations, we will be able to afford the chance to try. Thank you for helping us on this long, hopeful, and sometimes (ok most times) tearful journey.
