Help needed to give my brother the care he needs.

Hi, my name is Jennifer Farmer and I am starting a go fund me account for my brother Darrell Farmer.

Darrell has been diagnosed with a mental disability as of 5/14/2023. He was taken to a hospital due to a bystander calling 911 concerned about his welfare. He was seen laying in the same position for two days. He has been homeless for a few years, he was living on the street at that time. I recieved a call from a doctor concerned about his condition. He was going to be released to a shelter, as he did not have a home to go to. The dr nor i believed a shelter was an appropriate fit being he needs 24/7 care with assitance for every day living activities. As well as him needing a safe place as he endured trauma and other things I can't speak of while homeless for many years. He is not able to care for his self. I bathe him, dress him, help feed him at times when he can not feed his self. He currently has no medical insurance, monetary income, nor is receiving disability at this time.

I am and have been the sole caregiver for him at this time. I am not able to support him on my own and am asking for any and all help not just financially.

I am looking into getting him placed into a group home so he can have a semi functional life. Until he gets insurance I am not able to place him without having to pay out of pocket.

I am a mother and part time student. Please help so I can get him the care he needs and deserves. I will greatly appreciate it.
