My name is Veniel “Stu” Stewart, I am a Jamaican born resident of St Mary, Jamaica currently living in the United Kingdom.

Two and a half weeks ago, Hurricane Melissa, a devastating Category 5 storm, swept through Jamaica, leaving a trail of destruction and heartbreak. The parish where I grew up St. Mary, was hit especially hard. Many of our families and friends have lost their homes, their belongings, and their sense of security overnight.

As they struggle to rebuild their lives, the most urgent needs right now are food, basic necessities, and immediate disaster relief support. These are not strangers, they are our loved ones, our neighbors, our community.
