It was suggested to me multiple times to make a gofundme but I wasn't able to manage at that time. August 31st my beloved husband and best friend of 9 years and the father of my 4 children suddenly and unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack. My husband was my full time carer and a full-time father. The loss has been overwhelming but added to such a difficult time I have also experienced difficulties financially, I applied for bereavement support and was told that unfortunately I was not entitled, I also applied for Zakat but unfortunately they lack the funds to support me at this time.
I depended on my husband for so many things and I am trying to figure out how to live without him and raise our 4 young children (our youngest is 5 months and oldest just turned 5). I need to learn how to drive to provide me with some independence and enable me to take my children out as I am disabled and unable to walk far and 4 children at such young ages is a lot to handle on foot, this would also enable me to grocery shop more efficiently and get my children out of the house. This fundraiser would enable to learn to drive, get a car, insurance and tax it and set a good foundation for my children's lives as becoming a single mother to 4 young children is an enormous change that I never imagined. Right now I am still grieving and unable to see what our future will look like without my husband and raising these children alone.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a Mujahid (warrior) who fights for Allah's Cause, or like him who performs prayers all the night and fasts all the day."
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘The best house among the Muslims is the house in which orphans are well-treated. The worst house among the Muslims is the house in which orphans are ill-treated’. [Bukhari]
Please keep my family in your duas and may Allah swt mercy and blessings rain down upon you all.
