Help Navy Veteran Agustin Ayala Rebuild After Devastating House Fire
On Monday afternoon, August 4th, a fire tore through the Miami-Dade home of Navy veteran Agustin Ayala, destroying everything in its path. Agustin, now in his 60s and disabled, narrowly escaped with his life thanks to a smoke alarm that woke him just in time.
This wasn’t just a house — it was the home where Agustin grew up, passed down to him by his father. A place filled with memories, hard work, and love. Recently, Agustin had even invested in hurricane shutters to protect the property, never imagining that fire would be the threat that would change everything.
Now, he’s lost it all.
Despite the quick response of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the damage is catastrophic. Agustin is safe, but he has been left without a home, without his belongings, and without the stability he had built over decades. He humbly shared, “I feel bad because I lost my home. Now I don't got nowhere to go.”
We are reaching out to the community to help Agustin start over. Funds raised will go directly toward:
Emergency housing and essentials
Replacing lost belongings
Long-term recovery and rebuilding efforts
Agustin served our country with honor, and now he needs our support. Let’s come together to show this veteran that he is not alone, and that his community stands with him in this incredibly difficult time.
Please consider donating, sharing, and sending your thoughts and prayers. Every bit helps.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
