Help navaya with a life changing eye operation

Hi all as most of our friends and family are aware our little girl navaya-jordan has been attending hospital appointments since the age of 1 and a half due to what they thought was a turn in her left eye. Navaya has been attending orthoptic appointments with the NHS every 6 weeks to keep up on the process of her eye by the age of 2 navaya was already wearing glasses due to the left squint getting worse and rapidly loosing vision in the left eye. The NHS then decided they would try some intense patching at the age of 2 over navayas good eye the (right eye) to try and regain some sight in the left and get the nerves to wake up again, navaya was instantly struggling when the patches were on due to not being able to see very clearly this resulted in navaya falling asleep or taking the patch off . We then attended another hospital appointment navaya was 2 and a half by then, we spoke to the doctors and said how hard it is to patch navaya and when patching navaya falls asleep or take the patch off due to not being able to see, the doctors then decided to try something different with navaya and prescribed eye drops to put into the eye to act as a patch for 3 hours this way navaya couldn't take the patch off and would give the eye a better chance of recovering as everytime we was attending appointments navaya was loosing more vision. After 3 days of using the eye drops we noticed navaya eye was swelling up we took navaya straight to A and E were we spent hours to be told the eye drops are to strong for her eyes and to stop them straight away, after being treated in A and E we went home and waited for another appointment to come through.
When attending the next appointment navaya was put through more test for her vision and we was told more sight had been lost so this time they changed navaya prescription in her glasses to hopefully make more of a difference, navaya then wouldn't keep the glasses on as while wearing the glasses navaya needed to be patched aswell. We then attended another appointment about navaya not keeping her glasses on which then they changed her perception again to a less tense one but navaya still struggled to keep them on with this whole process going on and focusing on her bad eye they failed to notice that the right eye was loosing sight to as it was being put through so much strain and using double the strength. After 4 years of 6 week appointments of the same thing the NHS decided there was nothing else they could do for her as they had tried everything possible . Having this been said I had no choice but to seek advice from a private eye specialist in Nottingham (spire hospital) which was £180 for 1 hours consultation which we had 3 of them so far for them to be extremely supportive and understanding with us as a family as we really didn't know what our options was and felt failed by the NHS. Within the first appointment they informed us that navaya has a rare syndrome called browns syndrome which should have been picked up by the NHS as this is very visible when looking at navaya in person and under examination.  The browns syndrome she would have been born with and only 5 years later after seeking private help its been picked up. Navaya needs additional support at school. She's been extremely brave in this whole process we are all extremely proud of our baby girl for not letting her day to day struggles get to her. There's a lot of additional support navaya needs at home and out in the community I.e reassurance, physical support with steps and road crossing, stairs and normal day to day activities. With support from adults navaya is confident and an incredible little girl. We have had our last consultation on monday with the eye specialist which informed us our last option is give nayaya an operation which is to turn her left eye into the correct position and to reconnect her nerve endings for them to connect with her brain to encourage her sight to come back. This operation is for our daughter to have the best possible future and to have the same opportunities as other children and for her to grow up without obstacles in her way. This surgery is going to take minimum of 4 hours and result in her being in hospital for 1 week and 4 days of no sight what so over this is to give the nerves time to heal before taking the patches off we then will have to wait an additional 6-12 weeks recovery period to see if this surgey is successful.

This surgery is going to cost our family £4,500 and the surgery is going to take place May time as he would like it doing as soon as possible while navaya is young to give the operation the best chance of working.

We are going to struggle to find the funds for this operation in such a short space of time as we have 3 children, a house to pay for and many other expenses. We are asking for support from anyone who would like to help our family. We really never thought we would be in this position right now but want to ensure our baby girl has the best future she can. Anyone who would like to help our family raise the money for our baby girls life changing opportunity we would really appreciate it no matter how small or big the donations are.

Thankyou again for everyone taking the time to read and support us. Xx
