Hi, my name is Lindsay, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my family after the sudden and heartbreaking loss of my uncle. He leaves behind his 8-year-old son, Nathan — a sweet, smart, and funny little boy who now faces an unimaginable change.

With no mother in the picture, Nathan will be flying to Ontario to live with his aunt, who is stepping up to raise him. It’s an incredible act of love, but one that comes with huge emotional and financial responsibility — especially since Nathan hasn’t had a chance to build a close relationship with this part of the family yet. This transition is going to be incredibly difficult.

Nathan will be arriving with just a suitcase — no bed, no toys, no familiar comfort items. His new home wasn’t financially prepared to take on another child, but family does what family has to do.

On top of that, we are also trying to cover end-of-life costs for his father, including cremation and final arrangements, which were entirely unexpected.

We are asking for your help to give Nathan — and his caregivers — the foundation they need to begin again.

A bed and bedroom furniture to create a space of his own

Toys, books, and school supplies for comfort and learning

Financial support for his aunt as she raises him

End-of-life expenses for his father’s final arrangements
