Help Nathan Richey get back on his feet!

I am raising funds for my nephew and godson, Nathan Richey. Nathan suffered a traumatic brain injury 11 years ago in the car accident that claimed his brother, Kyle’s life. Nathan has been on his own for a few years now. In 2021 he was able to get his own little house in Bradley and was working full time.
Unfortunately, Nathan lost his job in April 2023. He found a job through a temp agency a couple of months ago which was less money and hours but it was a job. Unfortunately again, he was laid off on Monday. All temps were laid off. He is applying for jobs, however he is behind over 4 months in rent and that is a hole that he can’t climb out of by himself. Nathan is limited in some of the work he can and can’t do due to his brain injury. He can not drive, he cannot operate heavy machinery such as a forklift. Sometimes it takes a while for him to catch on to something but when he does there is no stopping him!
So many people in the community helped support him when he was in a coma for months and intensive rehab at RIC now Shirley Ryan Ability Lab at Northwestern. Our family had a fundraiser 11 years ago that helped support him and his mom with medical bills and all of the things needed as he went through a very long recovery.
I know a lot of people still ask how Nathan is doing and I am hoping that people will feel inclined to give whatever they can to help him out. His landlord is very sweet and very patient but that will not last forever. Any money raised will go straight to his account at Fieldstone Credit Union in Bradley and will be sent directly to his landlord and his bills that are connected to that account. If there are any questions regarding his account, please contact Mark Baron, the manager of Fieldstone. Thank you so much for whatever you can give! Every little bit helps!
