Help Nathan Meschelle Restore Captain Toasty

Help ‘RAISE’ the Captain Toasty (a commercial Stone Crab vessel) out of her storm-driven purgatory!

Our son, Nathan Meschelle, a familiar friendly face and local fisherman in Cortez, Florida, devoted many long hours over the last several years rebuilding and modifying her. She, at last, just recently became a fully seaworthy vessel and was being readied for this year’s stone crab season. A true labor of love! 

She was aptly christened the ‘Captain Toasty’ after Nathan’s salty nickname! Hurricane Milton, however, had other plans. She went under.

 We were able to refloat her and then pickled Captain Toasty’s engine. We are praying she can soon get back to work.. Feeding America. 

As we all work to resurrect our pre-hurricane lives, please join us in resurrecting the Captain Toasty?

We must support our local fishermen! Our community depends on their livelihoods.
