On Friday 11/7 into Saturday night 11/8 my dear brother Nathan became very sick. I took him to Inova Fairfax where we learned in the ER that he needed emergency surgery on his abdomen and that he had a serious infection that would have been fatal had he not gone to the hospital. I do not wish to go into all the fine details as I an having a very difficult time understanding it all but I can say the doctors would not know the extent of damage on his intestines until the surgery, which was completed early Sunday morning. The results included some necrotic tissue and critical trauma to his organs.

Nathan is currently in the ICU in a kind of medically induced coma awaiting a second surgery. Today 11/10 he is doing better and shows strength but there is a very hard road of recovery ahead, and much of this journey is simply day by day updates.

My dad and I are here to do everything we can and we want to show him all the support and love we can. If you are able, please donate to Nathan's recovery. Every bit helps, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
