Help Nathan Dragon and Family Through Tough Times

I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my wonderful husband, Nathan Dragon.

Nathan is an extremely hard-working man who values his family above all else, taking on all financial responsibility so I can stay at home with our lovely little girls, Freya, who is 2, and Fiona, who is 5 months old. He loves nothing more than to go on adventures in the backyard with Freya at his side or lay on the floor by Fiona's play gym, asking her about her thoughts. To say he is a devoted father would be an understatement. To him, family is everything.

Sadly, it has been a very difficult year for our little family. We moved to a new town in December of 2023 after finding out we were surprisingly expecting another baby. Unfortunately, five months into our pregnancy with Fiona, Nate was diagnosed with Li-Fraumeni Syndrome. He has been receiving preventive screening for his LFS at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, leading to a resection of his liver in Boston this past August. Though it turned out to be non-cancerous, the surgery was rather invasive, putting him out of work for some time. We had hoped that after he had made a full recovery, we could have some breathing room to regain our footing after taking such a financial and physical blow. It would seem that was not in the cards.

Early in November of 2024, Nate was diagnosed with Esophageal Adenocarcinoma. Another surgery is required as well as the possibility of chemo treatments. We are already struggling to make ends meet and as his care shifts to treating this cancer diagnosis, it means many more trips to Boston. He will be taking time off from work to recuperate and heal. This will put us in another financial setback that I do not know how we will manage with winter coming.

As his wife, I am taking it upon myself to reach out on our family's behalf and set up this GoFundMe. My goal is to help relieve some of the stress and worry that this burden has placed not only on Nate but our entire family. Your aid will help with his trips to Boston, our mortgage, heat/electric, and all the unseen costs that come with this diagnosis. We appreciate any and all assistance. Thank you.
