Hello everyone, my name is Nathan Hill, and I’m currently a Boy Scout in Troop 266. Welcome to the GoFundMe page for my Eagle Scout Project!

My project is located at Asbury Hills, a Christian Summer Camp located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Through summer camps, retreats, and other experiences, Asbury Hills leads people to Christian birth, growth, and renewal by providing spaces and facilities for people to grow closer to God. Growing up, I would attend camp at Asbury almost every summer, making great memories and enjoying many spiritual experiences. I want my Eagle Scout Project to foster Christian birth, growth, and renewal, experiences that are similar to ones that I had at Asbury. Hills. With all that being said, I hope that my project will provide a space that will allow groups and individuals to open up about their faith and grow closer with God.

The project itself will be a 8-ft tall pergola with built in swinging benches surrounding a campfire pit near the dining hall of Asbury Hills’ main campus. I hope to install 4 to 6 swinging benches on the beams of the pergola to provide people with a place to sit, talk, and reflect. I have included a concept image of what the final project could look like, along with an image of the current fire pit site.
