Hi, my name is Natasha. I moved to Costa Rica last year and married my partner who’s a Tico (Costa Rican born and raised) a little over a month ago. I’ve been living here on a tourist visa, which means I have to leave the country every six months just to renew my stay. While I love being with my partner in our home here, the constant travel and expenses incurred are overwhelming and unsustainable for us. That’s why I’ve started the process to apply for temporary residency, which would allow me to stay in Costa Rica with a renewable two-year visa and finally build a stable life here.

The costs involved in applying for residency are more than we can handle on our own. Your support will help cover our local notary’s fees, document translation, requesting my criminal history, the application fees, and travel to and from the capital for our immigration appointment in the end. Every bit helps us move closer to a future where I can stay with my partner long-term within our means and with peace of mind.
