Greetings to my friends, fraternity brothers, and other great people I met in my life,
My family just escaped Ukraine. What we experienced seemed like an impossible nightmare not so long ago. Actually, the fact that I am asking for your help, seems impossible due to my character and how I was raised. However, after finally getting my wife and son to safety, the reality has been slowly creeping into my mind. I realized that we left our whole life back in our apartment in Kyiv. We crossed to a foreign country with two suitcases and the future is uncertain. It is still difficult to accept that we have lost everything which we have built up to this point, but we must be realistic. We have a one year old son who needs a safe home and our goal is to do everything to provide it for him.
Usually, in helpless situations, the first people you lean on is your blood. The worst part of this whole situation is that most of our family is still stuck in Ukraine. That is why I am asking all of you for help. Know that I will be in your debt for the rest of my life and I will always be there for you when you need me. Also, when my son grows up, I will make sure that he remembers your help. He will know that at a difficult moment he was aided by humanity and that he should always do the same for others.
Thank you for being part of our lives,
The Narusberg Family
