A Recovery Fund to Help Me Rebuild

Dear community,

I am reaching out during a deeply vulnerable and challenging time in my life.

I recently left a physically, emotionally, and sexually abusive relationship with someone I had been living with. I am now taking the necessary steps to create safety, stability, and space for myself to begin healing and rebuilding my life.

In order to maintain a safe distance from my former abuser, I am currently subletting a place for the next three weeks. After that, I will need to find more stable housing.

Right now, I am hoping to raise:

* $750 to cover my housing for the next three weeks

* $300 for supportive healing services, such as bodywork and massage, as I begin recovering from the trauma I have endured

As I continue to rebuild and prepare to return to work, my expenses will continue into the coming months. A total goal of $3,000 would provide me with much-needed support and breathing room as I find stability, heal, and begin re-establishing my life.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, will help me move toward safety, stability, and independence.

For those who know me, you know how much love and energy I have given to the ʻāina and to my communities in California and Hawai’i. Through planting gardens, caring for the land, and contributing to the community in many ways, I have always done my best to offer what I can.

At this time, I am humbly asking for support as I find my footing again.
