Hello, I'm Nadir, a young man from the Gaza Strip. I've lived through the worst days of my life since October 7, 2023, until today, in a war that destroyed everything. It destroyed my life, my future, my home, my hopes, and every dream I ever had. Yes, for two years I've been living in conditions unfit for any human being. There's no water, no food, no education, no medicine, no electricity, no shelter—even the most basic necessities of life are nonexistent.

I'm writing this story with a heart heavy with wounds and pain from everything I've endured in these two harsh years and am still enduring. I'm trying my best to support my family of seven, and I'm the eighth. I was striving to complete my studies and achieve my dream of studying the specialization I wanted, but unfortunately, I couldn't because of the war that destroyed schools, homes, and roads. It shattered my dreams and the dreams of my family.

In addition to all this, my father, Ahmed, was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer. This was even harder for us than the war itself. He also suffers from several other illnesses, including high blood pressure and blocked arteries; he has four [unclear - possibly referring to a specific condition or condition]. He has stents in the main arteries of his heart and needs surgery every three months to remove this cancerous tumor so he can be transferred from the Gaza Strip to another country with good hospitals that can treat him. However, the major problem is that the crossings are closed, making it difficult for anyone to leave the Gaza Strip at the moment. Also, the coordination costs are extremely high, ranging from $5,000 to $7,000 per person, and perhaps even more.
