In two months, I'll be celebrating my birthday, but this year, I don't want gifts. I want to give hope.
Myanmar, my birthplace and a country close to my heart, has already been suffering deeply under the military junta. Every day, people live in fear, their rights stripped away, their voices silenced. And now, as if that weren't enough, an earthquake has struck, collapsing homes, destroying what little people had left, and leaving families out in the open, vulnerable and afraid.
It's hard to watch from afar. But I refuse to feel helpless. For my birthday this year, I'm raising funds to support the people of Myanmar, those caught between a brutal regime and a devastating natural disaster. Every dollar raised will go toward organizations on the ground that are helping provide shelter, food, and emergency aid.
Even a small donation can mean everything to someone who has nothing. Let's show them that the world still sees them. Let's choose humanity, together.
On behalf of the people of Myanmar,
Thank you!
