2025 shattered my uncle Brian’s world.

On February 28th, after a long battle with dementia’s, Brian’s mother (my grandmother) suddenly collapsed and died in his arms. One moment he was helping her walk to the bedroom, as he had done every single day for years… and the next, she was gone. He desperately tried to save her with CPR, but was unsuccessful. In the home where he had spent years caring for her, comforting her, and protecting her, he held her as she took her last breath.

The trauma of losing her so suddenly—after dedicating so much of his heart to her care—is something Brian is still struggling to process. He suffers from deep bouts of grief, sadness, and depression.

Then, on December 3rd, Brian lost his father as well. After years of being bedridden from diabetes complications and a leg amputation, his father passed peacefully, surrounded by his children. It was a moment filled with love, but also with the deep pain of saying goodbye to the man he had cared for day and night.

And in the midst of these losses, he also lost a dear friend who felt like family.
In less than a year, nearly everyone who mattered most to him was taken.

A Decade of Selfless Love

For more than 10 years, my uncle devoted his life to caring for his parents. He lived with them so they would never be alone. He managed medications, meals, medical appointments, cleaned, lifted, comforted, and stayed up through countless nights when their illnesses made sleep impossible. He became their advocate, guardian, and their strength when they had none.

He wasn’t just their caregiver—he was their lifeline.

He gave up career opportunities. He gave up financial stability. He gave up having a life of his own.
He chose love—every single day.

Now, With His Family Gone, He’s Fighting to Keep the Only Home He Has Left

After losing both parents in less than a year, Brian is now facing a new heartbreak: the home he cared for them—the place filled with a lifetime of memories, love, and the last moments he shared with each of them is going into foreclosure. The reverse mortgage is now due and payable.

Because the home was under a reverse mortgage, Brian must now purchase the house to keep it. After years of caregiving, he needs our help for a down payment—and time is running out.

This house isn’t just a building.
It’s the place where Brian spent his mother’s final moments—holding her, trying to save her.
It’s the place where he comforted his dad after he tragically lost his mom.
It’s the place where he poured a lifetime of love, sacrifice, grief, and hope.

Losing this home would mean losing the last physical connection to the life he shared with them. It would also mean my uncle Greg (Brian’s brother), who also lives with him, would have nowhere to live.

How Your Support Can Help

Your generosity will help Brian:

Let’s Show Brian That Love Comes Back Around

My uncle has spent more than a decade giving everything he had—quietly, humbly, and without ever asking for help. He never asked for recognition or reward for the years he spent caring for his parents. He did it because they were his family—and because love demanded it.

Now, he is standing in the ashes of a year filled with loss, doing everything he can to hold on to the one place that still connects him to the life he shared with those he loved most.

Please help us show him that he is not alone, that his sacrifices mattered, and that he deserves stability, compassion, and a chance to heal.

Your donation—whether large or small—can help save Brian’s home and give him a foundation to begin again. If you can’t donate, you can still make a life-changing difference by sharing this campaign with your friends, family and coworkers. Your kindness, compassion, and support can help change the course of his life.

Thank you for opening your heart to Brian during the most painful chapter of his life.
