If you read any post today, please let it be this one. ❤️

My family are currently going through possibly one of the hardest times we have ever faced, and I’m asking for some help and support for my family during what is an incredibly difficult time.

Recently, we found out that my three sisters, aged just 16, 18 and 20, have been diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic condition called IRF8 gene deficiency. This is a very rare condition that affects the immune system and means their bodies can struggle to fight infections properly. Because of the severity of their condition, they have to go through extremely intensive treatment, which includes chemotherapy as part of the preparation for their treatment and, where appropriate, a stem-cell/bone-marrow transplant to help rebuild their immune systems.

My 16-year-old sister has already started this journey. She has recently had chemotherapy and has sadly lost all of her hair because of the treatment. My other two sisters are also facing the same treatment and the reality of losing their hair and going through chemotherapy themselves.

On top of all of this, my sister who is only 20 years old has also been diagnosed with cancer. My 16-year-old sister has been found to have cancerous cells and has already undergone chemotherapy, while my 18-year-old sister is currently waiting to start her chemotherapy treatment.

It is honestly heartbreaking to see my sisters, who are so young, having to face all of this at once. No young person should have to go through what they are going through.

My mum has also battled cancer three times herself and now has a stoma as a result of the cancer. Despite everything she has been through, she has been absolutely amazing and continues to do everything she can for her children.

As you can imagine, the financial impact of everything happening at the moment is huge. There are hospital stays, travelling to and from appointments, food, clothing, wigs and so many other unexpected costs. My mum also has my little brother at home to care for while trying to manage everything that is happening with my sisters.

As their big sister and my mum’s daughter, I want to do absolutely anything I can to support them and take some of the pressure away from my family. If there is anything I can do to help them through this, I will go to any lengths.

Any donations, no matter how big or small, would mean so much to us and would help towards things such as wigs, clothing, food, transport to hospital and anything else my family may need during this incredibly difficult time.

Even if you can’t donate, sharing this post would mean the world to us and could help us reach people who may be able to support my family.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can give.
