Help my son's father after deportation

I’m reaching out for assistance on behalf of the father of my son, Vladimir and his wife, Yessenia, who are facing the unimaginable.

On April 25th, he was picked up from work by ICE. He was on their radar since he had a pending case through immigration. They took him directly from work and left all his belongings behind. While detained, he had to rehire lawyers to fight this case, and he was not granted the right to stay. His only choice, to perhaps have a chance to come back later, was voluntary deportation. Vladimir is still detained, as of June 19th, in Kentucky and is waiting to be picked up. He will be taken to Mexico with nothing except the clothes on his back. He leaves behind our son, his wife, a car payment, bills and a house payment, which Yessenia will now have to oversee while also trying to help him get reestablished.

Over the years, he has spent over $28,000 on legal fees in hopes of securing his right to stay, fighting tirelessly in immigration court and applying for work permits — but it still wasn’t enough through all these years.

After living in the United States for over 30 years, he is set to be deported to Mexico, a country he hasn’t known since childhood. A place where he left when he was around Sebastian’s age, 11. A place where he no longer has any immediate family, no home, and no immediate support system.

This is our last hope to help him get back on his feet and help offset expenses. He needs support with the most basic essentials: shelter, food, clothing, transportation, and the means to begin building a new life. After decades of living, working, and contributing in the US, being forced to start over like this just isn’t fair. My son will no longer have access to see or hug his father when he wants, and that is the most painful part.

Me comunico para ayuda en nombre del padre de mi hijo, Vladimir, y de su esposa, Yessenia, quienes están enfrentando lo inimaginable.

El 25 de abril, ICE lo recogió directamente de su trabajo. Estaba en su radar porque tenía un caso pendiente con inmigración. Se lo llevaron sin previo aviso y dejaron todas sus pertenencias atrás. Su única opción, para quizás tener una oportunidad de regresar algún día, fue la deportación voluntaria. Hasta hoy, Vladimir sigue detenido en Kentucky, esperando ser trasladado. Será llevado a México sin nada, excepto la ropa que lleva puesta. Deja atrás a nuestro hijo, a su esposa, un pago de carro, cuentas y pagos de la casa, que ahora Yessenia tendrá que asumir sola y tambien ayudar a Vladimir reestablecer su vida en Mexico.

A lo largo de los años, ha gastado más de $28,000 dólares en honorarios legales con la esperanza de asegurar su permanencia, luchando incansablemente en la corte de inmigración y solicitando permisos de trabajo — pero aún así, no fue suficiente después de todos estos años.

Necesita apoyo con lo más esencial: un lugar donde vivir, comida, ropa, transporte y medios para comenzar a construir una nueva vida. Después de décadas de vivir, trabajar y contribuir en Estados Unidos, que se le obligue a empezar desde cero así, simplemente no es justo. Mi hijo ya no podrá ver ni abrazar a su papá cuando quiera, y eso es lo más doloroso.
