Glioblastoma Stage 4 is one of the most deadly and treatment resistant cancers The five year survival rate is only 6.8% average length of survival rate.Average length of survival is 8 months. It is one of the most expensive cancers to treat often leaving families and patients with major financial hardships in top of the burden of the disease and its side effects. My son Ken aka “Kenner” was diagnosed in August 2021. Born in Hancock Ken is a true Yooper Ken has fought this disease so far—two surgeries. One in August 2021 and a second one in February 2022. MRIs are done every six weeks and we’re promising Two days before Christmas the news was not so promising A new tumor is present Ken will have to undergo a third surgery in January. along with this devastating news comes worries. Increased copy’s on insurances costs for treatment motel costs meals travel plus everyday costs He travels to a cancer hospital in Pittsburg Ken worked hard all his life to help provide for his wife and son and doesn’t deserve this disease I ask for your help to make this less worrisome for them.
