Our names are Rachelle and Tim and we are seeking support for our son Israel. At the beginning of 2025 Israel had a fall and broke his hip, SCFE. A quick overview of the injury... the head of femur slipped of the femur, blood supply was cut from his head of femur causing Avascular Necrosis.

To rectify this condition our fit and healthy 16 year old is not allowed to weight bare on his R) leg and in a wheelchair for 18+ months and receiving bisphosphonate infusions. The infusions have made him very unwell. He will require further surgery in the coming months, a grafting of bone from his fibula to his head of femur. He receives regular bone scans, x-rays and blood tests and regular consultations with orthopedic surgeons and the endocrinology team. If his treatment rails, the next step is a total hip replacement.

As you can imagine this has been a huge life changing condition. He is unable to participate in a lot of activities he once enjoyed. Israel turned 16 in Feb an wasn't able to get his L's. He isn't able to work for the next 18months. Israel is grade and 11 and will be in a wheelchair till mid grade 12. We are reaching out for support for this incredible young man. He has showed so much strength and resilience. But this road to recovery is challenging not only physically, but mentally.

One of his biggest set backs is his inability to work and earn money to save for his goals; his own car and schoolies.

Israel dreams of regaining his independence by getting his license and a car. And to celebrate his academic achievements, go to Japan for Shoolies. Upon graduating grade 12 Israel wants to attend university and study a bachelor of law and criminology.

We are aiming to raise funds to help him purchase a car and attend schoolies in Japan. The support you show through giving, will help him feel a supported during this journey and beyond.
