My sister recently made one of the hardest and bravest decisions a mother can make — she left an abusive home to protect herself and her children. Leaving meant walking away from everything familiar so her kids could have a chance at a safer, healthier life. But when she left, the father of her children abandoned them with only a few belongings we were able to quickly gather from the house. Right now, my sister and her children are starting completely over. They do not have a home of their own, and they are trying to rebuild their lives from the ground up after experiencing something no family should ever have to go through.

Despite everything, my sister’s focus has never changed — her children’s safety and wellbeing come first. She is doing everything she can to create a stable, loving, and peaceful environment for them after such a difficult time. Starting over with nothing is incredibly overwhelming, especially when children are involved. That’s why I’m asking for help from our community, friends, and anyone willing to support a mother who chose courage and safety for her family. Donations will go toward helping them rebuild and cover immediate needs such as safe housing and deposits, food and basic necessities, clothing and essentials for the children, transportation, and rebuilding stability.
