I’m raising funds for my sister after she survived a domestic attack during a child exchange while on her way to work. She was shot in front of her daughter, and our family is now trying to help her through the painful and difficult recovery ahead.
She is 3 years sober, graduated, got her own apartment, and has been working full time. She has fought hard to rebuild her life and create stability for herself and her girls, and this fundraiser is meant to help her keep that stability and continue providing for them after this traumatic act disrupted everything.
Right now, everyday life has been turned upside down. Her recovery is limiting basic self-care, mobility around the house, and routine household tasks. It has also made childcare, transportation, and parenting responsibilities much harder to manage, especially with school starting in 1 week. On top of the physical recovery, she is also carrying the emotional toll of surviving such a traumatic act.
Donations will help with immediate medical bills, lost wages while she is unable to return to work, childcare support, counseling and mental health care, and possible legal or safety-related costs. Bills and childcare needs are immediate, and support right now would help her family get through this critical window with more stability and care.
If you are able to give or share this fundraiser, it would mean so much. Thank you for standing with my sister and her children during this incredibly hard time.
