Update: Thank you for all contributors, things have been better at my sister's family side. They were able to restore some of their valuable belongings from the area. The donations can cover the education expenses for nearly two years. We are all very thankful for the help.

Hi, I am Pundarika Shakya, currently living in Norway since 2022. My sister - Lochani Shakya and her family including her husband, younger daughter and father-in-law, were caught in the devastating flash floods in Nepal on 26th August. I am organizing this fundraiser on their behalf.

They were living in Trishuli Bazaar, one of the affected areas, where they lost their home and their jewelry shop. They had invested everything they had into the shop, which was also their only source of income. The flood came so suddenly that they were unable to save anything. Thankfully, they were among the fortunate ones who were rescued and survived.

My family and I are doing everything we can to support them, but rebuilding their lives after such a devastating loss will require more than we can manage on our own. Through this fundraiser, I hope to help them meet their immediate needs while they cope with this loss. Most importantly, I want to make sure their two daughters, who are still in school, can continue their education.
