My name is Jessy, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my parents during one of the hardest moments our family has ever faced.

Last night, my parents’ garage caught fire unexpectedly. In just minutes, the flames destroyed years’ worth of tools, equipment, and personal belongings that my parents worked so hard for. The loss is overwhelming — not just financially, but emotionally.

What makes this even more devastating is that my dad is currently battling metastatic melanoma. He has been fighting with everything he has, but this fire has added a level of stress and hardship that no family should have to handle, especially while navigating this illness. Instead of being able to focus on his treatments and health, my parents are now facing unexpected expenses from the fire: cleanup costs, replacing essential items, and restoring what was lost.
