Hi, my name is Kris, and I’m fundraising for someone truly special — my mum.
She has an incredible eye for photography. It started with me and my siblings — you know the kind:
“Stand still… smile… okay, one more!”
These days, it’s all about football. She comes to every game and training session, camera in hand, capturing moments for everyone — not just my team, but also my little brother’s. She takes photos because she genuinely loves it, and she shares them with all the players and parents, spreading smiles week after week.
But this year hasn’t been easy for her.
Earlier this year, my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, she’s been through it all: countless hospital appointments, surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy… It’s been a tough journey filled with ups and downs.
And yet, through everything, she’s found comfort and joy behind her camera — being out there on the sidelines, doing what she loves most: taking photos and cheering us on.
Photography has become more than a hobby. It’s her therapy, her passion, her way of staying connected and hopeful through the hardest days.
Her dream is to own professional photography gear, especially a proper sports lens that can reach all the way across the pitch. As she always says, “it costs an arm and a leg,” and even the more affordable options are over £1000 — a lot for anyone, let alone someone going through treatment.
So, I’ve set up this page to help make that dream come true.
If my mum has ever taken a photo of your child, shared a moment that made you smile, or simply brightened your day with her passion — I’m asking for your help.
Any donation, big or small, will go directly towards buying the lens she’s been wishing for.
Thank you for your support.
