My name is Luna, and I am reaching out with the heaviest heart I've ever carried. My beautiful mum, Flavia, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 gallbladder cancer. Despite the doctors here in England trying their very best with chemotherapy and immunotherapy, the cancer has continued to spread. We were recently told that there are no further treatment options available on the NHS, and my mum has been given just 2–3 months left to live. The advice was to “go home, spend time with family and let nature take its course.”

But if you know my mum, you know she is a fighter. She is a woman of faith, a believer in God, and she refuses to give up.

My mum is more than just a cancer patient. She is a devoted mother, daughter, and sister, and she has dedicated her life to caring for others. As a mental health nurse, she has given so much of herself to her community — supporting people through their darkest and most vulnerable moments. Now, it is my mum who needs support.

There are specialist clinics abroad offering innovative, cutting-edge therapies for gallbladder cancer — treatments that are not available in the UK. These could give my mum more precious time, more hope, and possibly the chance of a future. But these treatments come at an enormous cost, far beyond what we can manage as a family.

This is why I am humbly asking for your help.
