Help My Mommy Save Her Car & Keep Her Only Source of Income

Hey everyone — I really didn’t want to have to make this, but I’m out of options and time is running out.

My mom’s been struggling with her health for years now after a serious accident in 2015 left her with 15 broken discs in her back. Ever since, her health has been getting worse, and she’s been doing everything she can to hold it together.

Recently, she took her car to get fixed, and while it was at the shop, they gave her a rental car. I parked it at my house, not thinking anything of it — but overnight, mangoes from my backyard tree fell and cracked the windshield. Completely random, & now my mom’s paying the price.

Now the shop is refusing to give my mom her car back until she pays the $3,000 deductible to process the insurance. Total damages are $5,000, and we don’t have that kind of money. On top of that, they gave her until June 23rd to pay — or they’ll sell her car.

This is her only car. She uses it to get to her doctor appointments and to work — she does Instacart and DoorDash, and that’s her only source of income right now. Losing this car means losing everything.

As much as I would love to help my mom I just can’t come up with 3k by myself in time.
