Help My Mom Walk Again & Find Peace
Donation protected
My mom just went through her fifth hip surgery on April 21st. For the past 9 years, she's been in constant pain—struggling to walk, to move, and to be the mom she wants to be for my two little sisters, who are now just 9 and 10 years old. Watching her fight every day with a cane or walker, still pushing herself to be present for her girls, has been both heartbreaking and inspiring.
This surgery is different. Doctors are building a custom implant for her hip because she has little to no bone left in that area. It’s a last-chance procedure—if it doesn’t work, she may never walk properly again. That reality weighs heavy on all of us, especially her.
On top of the physical pain, my mom has been battling severe depression. Not being able to move, play, or keep up with her daughters has taken a deep toll on her mental health. She feels like she’s been robbed of the simple joys of motherhood, and the thought of losing even more mobility is devastating.
She hasn’t been able to work in nearly a decade due to her condition, and realistically, even if this surgery is successful, she won’t be able to work anytime soon. Her partner has been doing everything he can to provide for the family, working constantly just to keep a roof over their heads—but it’s incredibly hard to keep up with the bills on one income. They just need some help.
All donations will go toward medical expenses and basic quality-of-life support—things like meals, transportation, home needs, and anything to make her recovery smoother and less stressful.
If you’re unable to give, sharing this post can make a huge difference too. My mom deserves the chance to heal without the fear of how she’ll afford to get through it, and with your support, we can give her that peace of mind.
Thank you so much for reading, for caring, and for being a part of her journey to recovery.
