My mom has always been the one showing up for others — especially in her work caring for individuals with developmental disabilities. She’s spent her life lifting people up with kindness, hard work, and a huge heart. But now, she’s the one who needs help.

Over the past few months, she’s gone through two foot surgeries, including a painful revision surgery. The complications made it impossible for her to continue doing the work she’s always loved — and she ended up losing her job because of it.

Now she’s facing the heartbreaking reality of having to move out of her home because she simply can’t afford to stay. All of this is happening while she’s still recovering, in pain, and trying to stay hopeful.
