Tonight my mom and sister lost their home in 45 minutes. Years of memories and treasures that meant the world to them are gone just like that. The fire was so devastating that their house had to be demolished, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. They feel like all hope is lost, and it’s heartbreaking to see them go through this.

My sister is a teacher who has always given so much to her students and community. My mom is the heart of our family, and seeing them both face this loss is incredibly hard.
