Early this week, my mom experienced a devastating house fire that left her home a total loss. Thankfully, she is safe, but nearly everything she owns was destroyed. She’s currently facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding her life from scratch.

While she does have renters insurance, the reality is that it takes time for claims to process. In the meantime, she’s in need of basic essentials—clothing, toiletries, temporary furnishings, and other daily necessities. As someone living on a fixed income due to disability, covering these unexpected, immediate costs is especially difficult.

My mom has always been incredibly generous to those around her. Now, she’s in a moment of need, and any support—no matter how small—will help ease the burden during this difficult transition.
