Hello, my name is Shaye and I'm asking for help to give my mother a chance to smile again.
Someone stole and totaled my mom’s beloved car — the one she named Annie and loved like family. She’s a single mom of five who beat cancer a year ago and finally started college after years of waiting. Now she’s stranded, heartbroken, and struggling to keep her dream alive. Please help me get her back on the road and smiling again. ❤️
Help My Mom Get Back on the Road to Her Dreams
Hi, my name is Shaye, and I’m asking for help to give my mom a chance to smile again.
Something heartbreaking happened — someone stole my mom’s car, crashed it, and left it totaled on the side of the road. Her little red Mini, the car she lovingly named Annie, was more than just a vehicle. It was her freedom, her pride, her “sixth child.” She loved that car so much — it carried her through every school drop-off, every late-night grocery run, every chapter of her life.
But because she could only afford basic liability insurance, the loss isn’t covered. She’s been left with nothing.
My mom is a single mother of five, and she’s spent her entire life putting her dreams on hold for us. She always made sure we had everything we needed, even when it meant she went without. After years of waiting, she finally decided it was time to do something for herself — she enrolled in college, something she’s dreamed of for so long.
Then, just when things were looking up, she was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, and her plans had to be put on hold again. She fought through it like the warrior she is and came out stronger. This year, she finally started her first semester — and finished with straight A’s. She was so proud, and we were all so proud of her.
And then this happened.
Now, she’s heartbroken and doesn’t know how she’ll get to school or continue her classes. The woman who always finds a way for everyone else suddenly can’t find one for herself. Seeing her defeated like this hurts more than anything.
I just want to help her get another car so she can keep going — so she can finish college, reach her goals, and believe again that good things still happen.
If you can donate, even a little, it will mean the world to us. And if you can’t, please share this story — every share could bring her one step closer to getting back on the road.
Thank you so much for reading, for caring, and for helping me give my mom a little bit of hope back.
❤️ With love and gratitude,
Shaye
