I'm reaching out to ask for help for my mom, who has been through more in the past year than most people face in a lifetime.

She was diagnosed with leukaemia and has been going through ongoing chemotherapy. Despite everything, she kept working as much as she could to support herself. She's always been incredibly hardworking and independent.

On Christmas Day, the building where she worked was destroyed in a fire. This job meant everything to her—it was the only place that gave her the flexibility to continue working while receiving treatment. Losing it was devastating.

But she didn't give up.

To make ends meet, she started buying, fixing and reselling items like motorized scooters, furniture, tools, and anything she could. It became her only source of income, and she worked so hard to slowly rebuild.

Then, just three days ago, another tragedy hit.

A fire destroyed the outdoor storage tents where she kept all of her inventory-everything she had worked so hard to build back up. Thousands of dollars worth of items were lost. Her convertible Mustang, which she absolutely loved, was also destroyed.

Unfortunately, it wasn't insured at the time.

Now she is facing an incredibly difficult situation:

• She is still battling cancer

• She has lost her only source of income, again.

• She has no vehicle

• She has no inventory left to restart her small resale business

• She doesn't even have a scooter anymore, which she relied on to get outside and walk her dog when she didn't have the energy.

She is now at risk of not being able to cover her basic monthly expenses and is essentially starting from nothing.

We are hoping to raise $10,000 to help her:

• Cover essential bills while she recovers and stabilizes

• Replace a motorized scooter so she can regain some independence and mobility

• Put toward a basic vehicle so she can eventually get back on her feet and find a new source of income.

My mom is one of the strongest people I know. She has never asked for help and has always pushed through even the hardest circumstances. Right now, she truly needs support.
